About the Author
Paul E. Wootten grew up on a farm on Maryland's Eastern Shore. He has worked as a teacher, school leader, writer, and consultant. From 2011-16 he was an usher for the Kansas City Royals, the best retirement gig ever. Paul and his wife Robin live in Kansas City and South Florida. They have four grown children and a grandson, Fletcher.

Excellent Book !

The setting of this book takes place in the general area I live in and grew up in. The book is about , at best, trying racial relations. It takes place over several generations. Although this book is fictional , I have no doubt things that happened in this book actually did, and up to an extent, still are happening today. Sad... The book is very interesting and held my attention the entire way through. I am very much looking forward to the prequel book that is planned to be released soon. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a book that you " just can't put down." I plan to keep this author at the top of my list.

GREAT book!

I loved this book! It saddens me and embarrasses me to think of this horrible treatment of innocent people. The character development was that of an experienced and gifted author. Please keep those books coming. Very anxious to read his next novel.
