Dissappointing Figure Quality
By M. Richards
What a disappointment. Coming from two distinguished authors, the figure quality in the text is atrocious, most of the micrographs are unrecognizable and provide little or no insight on the microstructure being discussed. It is disappointing that the original figure quality was lost and this book does not reflect the tremendous amount of work that goes into gathering these micrographs.

A great book for all those who need to know steels's fundamentals.
By Fabio D. Pannoni
It's an excellent textbook for understanding steel's unique nature. The book comprises a basic and intermediate level, and is considered a "must have" for all those surrounding metallurgy. It's an excellent reference manual for later information too.
