Might have been titled "Exploding the Myth of Genre, Lyric Especially" — a very readable essay collection bracketed by unusually fine remarks. Taxonomy is useful until it swells to dogma. Jackson illuminates & dissolves both into a carefully & lovingly examined web of fragments.
